The Newsroom, located in the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, will include:
News Briefings
Daily briefings about breaking research being presented at the meeting will provide
press registrants with access to the world's premier scientists.
Newsroom registrants are required to observe embargoes, which will coincide with the date and time of
the scheduled news briefing or the date and time of the scientific session, whichever comes first.
A full schedule of news briefings will be available to registered reporters with EurekAlert! access via the AAAS Annual Meeting virtual newsroom, to be housed on the EurekAlert! Web site beginning Monday 14 February 2005. All press registrants also will receive a complete schedule upon arrival.
Please note attendance at press briefings is restricted to press registrants.
Reporter Workrooms
Special press workrooms will be equipped with Internet access, including computers, printers, phone jacks and phones (credit cards must be used when dialing long distance).
Library (2004 Multimedia Library)
Newsroom registrants have full access to copies of speaker presentations and background materials.
Embargoed news releases from AAAS, academic institutions and other scientific organizations will be available on-site and on EurekAlert!.
Coffee Lounge
During Newsroom hours, complimentary coffee and tea will be provided.
Private Interview Rooms
At the Newsroom headquarters, reporters may request private rooms for interviews.
