A journalist and marine biologist, Carlos has worked at O Globo for over 20 years, writing about music and science. In the last three years, he moved from the Arts and Leisure section to Science. He has written on subjects as diverse as the Hubble telescope and invader species on Brazil's coastline. He has covered events such as Live Earth, and he conducted a one-on-one interview with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Carlos has a weekly column about environment called 1/2 ambiente.

Nora Bär has been a science writer for more than two decades. She has been awarded several prizes, such as the Longines Award for the Excellence in Journalism, the Konex Award for Scientific Journalism, the René Barón Award for Scientific Journalism, the Government of Buenos Aires Award for "Journalism and Health," among others. She has served as a juror and tutor for academic theses, and she has juried science and health journalism awards. She has also interviewed many prominent scientists. In 2003 she was elected as a member of the Argentine Academy of Journalism. She is now the Science and Health Editor of La Nación and runs a radio program on science and health called Eureka!

A graduate of La Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatalán de la UNAM (Universidad National Autónoma de México) with a degree in journalism and collective communications, Guillermo is a journalist specializing in science and health. He has worked with magazines and newspapers including El Sol de México, Reforma and El Universal. He is presently with El Universal as a reporter and publisher of the weekly science page.

Valeria is a science and medicine reporter for the daily newspaper Clarín. Her work has won numerous awards from national and international environmental and health organizations, such as the European Oncology School and the Interamerican Heart Foundation. She has also organized several workshops to bring Latin American scientists and journalists together to improve communication. Román is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires. Her science blog, Ensayo y Error (Trial and Error), examines advances and tensions in science and health. Román was recognized by the Konex Foundation as one of the 100 best journalists in Argentina.

A journalist from the weekly newspaper, Semanario Búsqueda, Maria works as assistant editor for the Health, Science and Technology section. Each week, Búsqueda dedicates three of its pages to the communication of the latest projects, discoveries and information concerning the national and international scientific world. Maria attended the Universidad de Montevideo in Uruguay, where she earned a degree in communications. She speaks three languages (English, Spanish and French) and has working experience with the Uruguayan media through television and radio.
