About Dr. Sara Seager
Dr. Sara Seager is the Ellen Swallow Richards Professor of Planetary Science and Professor of Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where her research focuses on theoretical models of atmospheres, interiors and biosignatures of all kinds of exoplanets. She also works on space instrumentation.
Professor Seager has a B.Sc. in math and physics from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in astronomy from Harvard University. She is the 2007 recipient of the American Astronomical Society's Helen B. Warner Prize and has been recognized in the popular media by Popular Science magazine's Fifth Annual Brilliant Ten in 2006 and Discover Magazine's "Best 20 under 40" in 2008.
