About Steve Brusatte
Steve Brusatte is a PhD student at Columbia University and the American Museum of Natural History in New York, and his research focuses primarily on the evolution of carnivorous dinosaurs (Tyrannosaurus rex and kin) and the origin of dinosaurs and other reptiles. He was born in northern Illinois, and his passion for paleontology was stoked by fossil collecting trips with his high school geology teacher. Steve studied geology at the University of Chicago, and earned a Marshall Scholarship to pursue a Master's degree at the University of Bristol in England. He has written four books, over 30 research papers, and has done field research in North America, Europe and Asia.
