Antarctic Asteroidal Meteorite (IMAGE) Arizona State University Caption This is a portion of the asteroidal meteorite CR2 Grave Nunataks (GRA) 95229. A study published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that researcher Sandra Pizzarello of Arizona State has discovered a high concentration of ammonia in this meteorite that could account for a sustained source of reduced nitrogen essential to the chemistry of life.
