World-First Research Shines Spotlight on Koalas

The "holy grail" for understanding how and why koalas respond to infectious diseases has been uncovered in an Australian-led, world-first genome mapping project led by QUT (Brisbane, Australia) and Australian Museum. Dr. Ana Pavasovic, Dr. Peter Prentis, Dr. Adam Polkinghorne and Professor Peter Timms (from left to right) said the world-first finding will lead to better understanding of the iconic Australian marsupial.
