Creating New Therapies (IMAGE) Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Caption Han van der Loo, Ph.D., and Kathryn Mangopoulos, research assistant, work in the Vector Production Facility and Cell Manipulation Laboratory, part of the Translational Core Laboratory at Cincinnati Children's. The facility produces viral vectors, reprogrammed viruses designed to delivery targeted genetic materials to cells for research into novel molecular and gene therapies. It is a key part of the new Cincinnati Center of Excellence for Molecular Hematology to find new treatments for blood cell diseases.
