Vaccination of the Immune System (IMAGE) University of Copenhagen Caption When used in biological disease models, a kp7 vaccine prevents chronicity of inflammation in models of allergic asthma (AA), delayed-type hypersensitivity (DHT), multiple sclerosis (MS) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). An antigen presenting cell (APC) takes up the kp7 molecules and present them to natural killer T-cells (NKT cells), which are activated to prevent chronic inflammation.
