NASA's Aqua Satellite Image of Tropical Cyclone Iggy (IMAGE)

NASA's Aqua satellite passed over Tropical Cyclone Iggy on Feb. 2, 2012 at 0615 UTC (1:15 a.m. EST). The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument captured a true color image of the storm. In the image, Iggy appears elongated from northwest to southeast, which is the direction of the wind shear.
