This figure shows confocal images of cells, shown in green, and the corresponding uptake of lipoproteins in those cells, shown in red. Compared to cells with the wild type (WT) form of TREM2, cells with mutant forms of TREM2 (mutant forms Y38C, R47H, R62H, etc) take up less lipoproteins.
