The TUM Science Center for Electromobility is on track to present a driveable concept car at the next Frankfurt auto show, IAA 2011. The so-called "Project MUTE" concept is a subcompact electric car designed for competitive performance in urban settings, optimized for total lifetime cost and sustainability. The Science Center for Electromobility is part of a comprehensive initiative to accelerate development of electric vehicles, which includes collaborative projects in Singapore and China.
