SMART Shame Bot (IMAGE) NYU Tandon School of Engineering Caption Teachers and fellows in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering SMART summer program work on a string robot that moves across a string and drops a ball when it "hears" hands clapping. On the floor is the Shame Bot, which hangs its "head" and displays a sad face on its screen when someone speaks sharply. Both were developed in the school's Mechatronics Lab, where teachers and fellows conduct summer research and develop STEM lessons for K-12 students using robots to engage children.
