A Female Horsehead Grasshopper (IMAGE) University of Leicester Caption The image shows the head and part of the front legs of a female horsehead grasshopper (Pseudoproscopia scabra) used in the Current Biology article. The insect has an elongated body-form that closely resembles that of a stick insect, but it is actually a grasshopper, and can jump surprisingly well considering its ungainly appearance.
