GM Crops Protect Neighbors From Pests (1 of 4)

Caption: Cotton, corn, peanut and soybean are main crops in the agricultural system of northern China. Cottom bollworn is one of the most important insect pests for production of these crops. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Sep. 19, 2008, issue of Science , published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Kong-Ming Wu and colleagues at Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing, China was titled "Suppression of Cotton Bollworm in Multiple Crops in China in Areas with Bt Toxin-Containing Cotton."
