Caption: The brain image and graph show that Body Mass Index (BMI) is related to weaker activation in the dorsal striatum in response to receipt of a chocolate milkshake versus receipt of a tasteless solution. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Oct. 17, 2008, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Eric Stice and colleagues at Oregon Research Institute in Eugene, Ore., was titled "Relation Between Obesity and Blunted Striatal Response to Food is Moderated by TaqlA1 A1 Allel."
