Caption: Left photo shows Gora's eye before tacrolimus implant placement. Eye is hazy and dark due to pigment and blood vessel infiltration as a result of the auto-immune corneal disease. Gora's sight was progressively failing despite medical therapy over the period of two years. Right photo shows Gora's eye 4 weeks after surgical placement of drug eluting implant. Haziness, blood vessels and pigment significantly regressed, and Gora was able to go back to full active duty due to significant improvement in vision.
