Caption: Two tube-shaped homes built by ocean-dwelling sandcastle worms are shown. A dark-colored worm about an inch long is visible inside the bend of the tube on the left. Scientists at the University of Utah have synthesized a superglue that can harden in wet, bloody conditions for use in repairing certain bone fractures. The glue is based on the natural glue made by the worms to build their tubes with sand and shell pieces.
