Caption: This is a Middle-Archaic greenstone pendant recovered from the east slope of the Little Salt Spring Basin ca. 6000-7000 RCYBP. Donated to the University of Miami in 1982, Little Salt Spring was first discovered to be an underwater archaeological site in the late 1950s. It offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the origin of civilization in the New World.
