Caption: Dr. Steven Bloom, interim chairman of obstetrics and gynecology, and colleagues in a multicenter study found that in severe emergencies, doctors appropriately performed deliveries well within the 30 minutes that U.S. hospitals have been required to be able to start emergency Cesarean sections. In less-threatening cases, exceeding that time didn't increase complications.
