NASA C-9 Research Aircraft

Caption: This NASA C-9 research aircraft climbs steeply before leveling out and then diving. Such planes, nicknamed "vomit comets," fly 40 such arcs each flight, creating weightless conditions at the top of each arc. A University of Utah drinking water quality monitoring system was developed during such flights and now is being tested on the International Space Station.
