Botulinum Neurotoxin Binding

Caption: Botulinum neurotoxin hijacks synaptic vesicle recycling at neuromuscular junctions. The toxin first docks to the active zone (blue) by binding to two membrane-anchored receptors, synaptotagmin (red) and ganglioside (yellow). The toxin-receptor complexes are then internalized by endocytosis.
