Caption: Fazle Hussain, a mechanical engineering professor, has embarked upon ways of reducing airport delays by speeding the breakdown of vortices to turbulence in order to save time between aircrafts during takeoffs and during landings. His research is funded by a $300,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.
