Caption: This infrared image of Carlos' cold clouds show that there are still bands of thunderstorms to the north of Carlos' center, picking up energy from the warm waters of the Timor Sea and feeding the storm. The coldest cloud top temperatures appear in purple and are as cold as -63F/-52C.
