Rainforest Canopy

Caption: Fossil evidence indicates that vein density increased in the leaves of flowering plants. Scientists suggest that this permitted the plants to transport more water and conduct more photosynthesis, leading to the evolution of giant, rainforest trees and productive, biodiverse forests.
