A Guitar-String Like Mechanical Vibrating Wire

Caption: Electromagnetic signals can be detected and amplified almost noiselessly using a guitar-string like mechanical vibrating wire. In the ideal case the method adds only the minimum amount of noise required by quantum mechanics.
