Caption: In the model, microtubules are green. A structure called the spindle pole bodies (SPBs) are modeled in blue. The nuclear envelope is shown in magenta. In the wild-type cells, numbers of microtubules are emanating from the area just above the SPB. We refer this area as the radial microtubule organizing center (rMTOC).
