Caption: William Hsu, M.D. (right), works to understand the causes of diabetes among Asian-Americans, and to create medical tools and management approaches to appropriately diagnose and treat that population for the disease. He is an investigator in the section on vascular cell biology at Joslin Diabetes Center and an assistant professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. George King, M.D., studies the molecular mechanisms by which high blood glucose levels and insulin resistance may lead to long-term complications. He is chief scientific officer at Joslin Diabetes Center, co-head of the section on vascular cell biology and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
