Caption: Patricia Kruk heads a team at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center working on a more sensitive screening test for ovarian cancer. The researchers found much higher levels of a specific protein in the urine (Bcl-2) in women with ovarian cancer than in women with benign disease or healthy volunteers. Their preliminary findings were reported at the 2006 American Association for Cancer Research Meeting.
