Caption: This movie shows an M6.9 class flare on July 7, 2012 as captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) in a combination of the 131, 171, and 304 Angstrom wavelengths. It has been colorized in yellow and red. The movie covers the time frame from 12:00 PM EDT to 1:30 PM.
