Caption: Photograph of a black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes). This image relates to an article that appeared in the Aug. 10, 2007, issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Martin B. Grenier and colleagues of the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo., was titled "Rapid Population Growth of a Critically Endangered Carnivore."
