Caption: Ever since researchers discovered that red wine drinkers seemed to have a lower risk for certain health problems, scientists have been trying to learn whether it's possible to get some of those benefits without having to drink. Washington University nutrition researchers have been evaluating resveratrol, an ingredient in red wine linked to those benefits, but they found that the supplement doesn’t improve metabolism in healthy women. Jim Dryden reports.
