Caption: The National Science Foundation (NSF) celebrated the 60th anniversary of its Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) in Washington, D.C. Among those honored was University of Miami graduate student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow Erica Staaterman, who was recognized for ‘Sonic Reef,’ a video where she described her work on underwater acoustics. The award was presented by former NSF Fellow Dr. Robert Zimmer, President of the University of Chicago.
