Nasonia vitripennis male and female during courtship.

Caption: This shows a Nasonia vitripennis male (top) courting a N. vitripennis female. Males of these tiny wasps (smaller than a grain of rice) entice the females to them by releasing their sex pheromone into the air, letting them know that “Mr. Right” is in the neighborhood.
