Caption: Dr. Eric Nestler (center) led a research team which included Dr. Ming-Hu Han and Vaishnav Krishnan in discovering that mice's ability or inability to cope with stress is linked to specific differences in the way brain cells communicate with each other. Understanding these mechanisms could eventually help scientists develop methods for humans to boost resilience to stress and depression.
