Unknotting mRNA to Promote Cancer

Caption: Protein elF4E binds to the cap region of messenger RNA. A new study from UC Davis shows that in cancer cells, it can also cause another protein, 4A to untangle mRNA allowing rapid translation into protein and promoting tumor cell growth.
