Caption: Droplets of water, methylene iodide, methanol and octane hexadecane on a lotus leaf surface covered with electrospun fibers. This image demonstrates the 'omniphobicity' (i.e. ability to repel any and all types of liquids) of our surfaces. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Dec. 7, 2007 issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Anish Tuteja and colleagues at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, was titled "Designing Superoleophobic Surfaces."
