Caption: The International Federation of Automatic Control honored NYU-Poly Professr Zhong-Ping Jiang for his fundamental contributions to nonlinear control theory and design. Jiang recently began researching the smart electrical grid and intelligent transportation systems, and hopes to use the knowledge from researching mechanical systems to understand neurological diseases in which feedback is problematic, such as Parkinson's and schizophrenia.
