Coral Reefs Could Use Relief from Climate Change (1 of 3)

Caption: A tropical coastline in Karimunjawa, Java, Indonesia. Many tropical countries still have pristine coastline where tropical rainforest meets tropical coral reefs. Unfortunately, both ecosystems are highly threatened by climate change. This image relates to article that appeared in the Dec. 14, 2007 issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by O. Hoegh-Guldberg at University of Exeter in Exeter, UK, was titled "Coral Reefs Under Rapid Climate Change and Ocean Acidification."
