Caption: A MCoRDS's underwing radar antenna arrays mounted beneath the wing of NASA's P-3 aircraft at McMurdo Station's airfield is shown. MCoRDS uses arrays beneath the wings and fuselage of the plane, giving a total of 15 antennas that can send and receive signals used to map polar ice and bedrock.
