Caption: The "golden mantilla," Mantella aurantiaca of Madagascar is a day-active, forest-floor frog with bright warning coloration as a signal to predators that deadly toxin is present in the skin of this beautiful creature. This image relates to an article that appeared in the April 11, 2008, issue of Science , published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Claire Kremen and colleagues at University of California, Berkeley in Berekely, Calif., was titled "Aligning Conservation Priorities Across Taxa in Madagascar with High-Resolution Planning Tools."
