Caption: On Aug. 9 at 0906 UTC (5:06 a.m. EDT) TRMM was used to create a 3-D image of the storm looking north. Areas in green show that much of the rain is relatively shallow with tops ranging from about 5 to 8 km, but there are isolated areas of higher tops (shown in red).
