Caption: Large red sea-spider (Arthropoda, Pcynogonida) walking over white hydroid at 25 m. Antarctic sea spiders can be up to 500 mm across and have up to 12 legs. This image relates to article that appeared in the July 18, 2008, issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Dan Smale the Natural Environment Research Council and colleagues, was titled "Ice Scour Disturbance in Antarctic Waters."
