Caption: Climate change represents one of today's most prominent scientific challenges. Through the Integrative Graduate Education Research Traineeship program, Charles Kolstad, principal investigator of a project bringing together economics and environmental science at the University of California at Santa Barbara, gave graduate student Nick Burger an opportunity to work with him as a lead author of a section of the fourth report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
