Caption: Nina Klar put a transmitter to an anesthetized wildcat to monitor the moving patters. Clearly visible is the bushier hair and the dark rings at tail . This is the best way to differentiate wildcats from the domesticated cats. The researchers of OEKO-LOG fitted six tomcats and six feline cats with radio-transmitters to track their home ranges. Over the space of four years a database was developed with over 13,000 entries of wildcat localizations.
