Caption: A Rosalia funebris female (common name, banded alder borer), which attacks a variety of hardwood trees. UC Riverside entomologist Jocelyn Millar and University of Illinois entomologist Larry Hanks have identified an excellent attractant for this species. The attractant is produced by the males.
