AAPS announces 1999 Fellows
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS)
unveiled its 1999 list of Fellows. An AAPS Fellow earns his or her title by
contributing scholarly research, such as original articles, patents and
presentations, in the pharmaceutical sciences.
This year the following ten individuals join the prestigious list of AAPS
Fellows:
- Michael E. Aulton, Ph.D. of De Montfort University, Leicester, England;
- Philip S. Burton, Ph.D. of Pharmacia & Upjohn, Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich.;
- Chyung S. Cook, Ph.D. of G.D. Searle & Company, Skokie, Ill.;
- Dominique Duchêne, Ph.D. of Paris' Sud University, Chatenay, France;
- Alexander T. Florence, Ph.D, D.Sc. of the University of London,
England;
- Hans Peter Merkle, Ph.D. of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(ETH), Zurich, Switzerland;
- Tue H. Nguyen, Ph.D. of Genentech, Inc., San Francisco, Calif.;
- Kim-Ching (Sandy) Pang, Ph.D. of the University of Toronto, Canada;
- Henry J. Pieniaszek, Jr., Ph.D. of DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Newark,
Del.; and
- Ronald A. Siegel, Sc.D. of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis,
Minn.
