AAAS Science and Technology Policy Colloquium

Washington, D.C.-April 23, 2001-AAAS will be holding its 26th Annual Colloquium on Science and Technology in Washington D.C. this May. The Colloquium provides a forum in which federal and industrial policymakers and members of the scientific, engineering, and academic communities can participate in an open discussion of issues relating to the President's budget and the consequences of various policy issues involving science and technology. This year, the Colloquium will address the new directions for policy and funding in this new Administration. Speakers at the Colloquium will include Larry Lindsey, White House Assistant for Economic Policy; Neal Lane, former Assistant to the President for Science and Technology; the Honorable Sherwood Boehlert, Member, U.S. House of Representatives (NY); Chair, House Committee on Science; and James D. WHERE: Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street, NW, Washington D.C.

REGISTRATION: Press credentials and packets will be available at the Birdcage Walk starting at 7:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 3.

MEALS: Tickets for the breakfast on Thursday, May 3, will be $20 and tickets for the luncheons on Thursday, May 3, and Friday, May 4, are each $40 and will be available at registration. Seating in the back will be available for press who choose to only cover the event.
