WHAT: Announcement of the results of a study, led by researchers at Seattle's Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. The population-based study, involving data from nearly 9,000 breast-cancer patients in western Washington, looked at the impact of the drug tamoxifen on second breast cancers.
WHO: Christopher Li, M.D., a postdoctoral fellow in epidemiology at the Hutchinson Center, will present the study results and their implications.
