Students and professionals will share their mentoring experiences in a special workshop at the American Chemical Society’s 222nd national meeting in Chicago.
Since 1995, mentoring has been an integral component of the ACS Scholars Program, which provides scholarship assistance and summer research opportunities to undergraduates majoring in the chemical sciences. More than 80 percent of program graduates remain in the field, either in the workplace or graduate school.
Workshop presenters will offer techniques designed for the high school science student, the college chemistry student, the Ph.D. candidate and career chemist.
