The “Kids & Chemistry Live!” program is a prelude to the American Chemical Society’s 223rd national meeting in Orlando, April 7-11.
ACS members, including undergraduate chemistry students, professional chemists, chemical engineers and former classroom science teachers, will share chemical demonstrations and interactive experiments with participating children and their families.
The National Science Education Standards encourage students to do science, not just to read or hear about it. Kids & Chemistry Live! activities have been developed to increase children’s understanding of chemistry and its importance to daily life, while showing that chemistry can be fun.
The American Chemical Society is the world’s largest scientific society.
